Deaf’s stories

Every Deaf, hard of hearing, CODA, interpreter, and Deaf-Blind person has a story worth sharing.

Deaf Stories is a project that shares real stories from Deaf communities across Canada through interviews and photography. Each person has unique experiences, challenges, achievements, and memories that help tell the story of Deaf life in Canada.

These stories help preserve Deaf history, celebrate Deaf culture, and increase awareness of accessibility and inclusion. They also provide an opportunity for people to learn from one another and better understand the diversity within Canada’s Deaf community.

Along with each interview, I include photographs that help bring the story to life and capture the individual behind it.

My goal is to create a collection of stories that inform, inspire, and connect people across Canada.

Your story is important. Your experiences matter. Your journey deserves to be shared.

Because every story deserves to be shared.
